I'm ALIIIIIIVE

Hello my lovelies! Yes, I am still alive and kicking... just haven't had ANY time to blog! I know, bad blogger, NO cookie!

This post will have absolutely nothing to do with vintage (well, ok, I may touch on it briefly when I mention the fashion in Australia) but at least it's a post!

For those of you that have been sitting with bated breath at your computers desperately waiting for an update on where I am and how I'm doing, I am currently living on a cruise ship in the middle of the South Pacific. Remember that badass job I posted about in November last year? Bam... I'm here.

This is quite possibly the coolest job I've ever had - of course it has it's ups and downs but the places that i've been are absolutely extraordinary. I would upload photos but frankly I don't have the patience to wait for this internet. Satelite internet is utter & complete shit!!

Now as most of my religious (ha!) followers know, I am utterly & completely obsessed with everything that is the UK. Well, 98% of the people I work with in the Entertainment Department are from the UK. My roomate is essentially an English me (it's friggin amazing actually) and my current boyfriend on board is English as well. I've picked up SO much English slang it's ridiculous. I find myself using it without even thinking now! I blame the guy I'm dating... he's got me watching English films & programs (The Inbetweeners never should have been cancelled!!!) so I've learned a lot from that. I'll end up writing in a hell of a lot more detail about Zac once I get home... then I can spend some proper time online and really get everything all out there. But lets just say he is absolutely amazing... his parents should be EXTREMELY proud of him as they did an utterly stellar job of raising him. I can't imagine him being anymore fantastic than he already is. SEE LADIES?! All the best men are English!!! I knew there was a legit reason for my mild obsession... ;-)

Lets see, what do I do on board. I'm Entertainment as I'm sure most of you know. I host game shows, trivias, and other arbitrary games. Now that we've had a bit of a staff changeover, I'm starting to host and co host a lot of the theme nights as well. LOVING Rock N Roll night. I bust out my CHERRY PRINT peep toe stilettoes for that one! Yes, Cherry Print peep toes. Commence being jealous. I said Aussie fashion was sensational. We do Country Night, Rock N Roll Night, Decades (70's-Now), Pirates, Pub Night (SO much fun!), 2 Formal Nights, and other random stuff. I absolutely love my job, though not necessarily life on ships. In fact, I think I kind of HATE life on ships. It's essentially like being trapped in a floating high school - NOT really my thing!

I'll try to get a legit post in some other time, but for now hopefully this will hold people off and perhaps allow me to be forgiven for my 4 months hiatus from posting. When I get home I will do several posts. I'll try to categorize them by the different ports that I was in & when, complete with photos, and obviously all the fun stories in between.
